There is much to be learned about Michelangelo and his works. He is a gifted sculptor and an equally gifted painter. He has excelled in the many fields he studied in. His most famous sculpted works are the marble sculpture of David and the marble statues of Mary holding the body of Christ after His crucifixion called Pieta. His famous painted works can be found at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. They are scenes from the Book of Genesis. The most well-known scene is entitled The Creation of Adam.
